Overview[]
The Ancient Sailor was a old Spanish sailor that presumably sailed with Ponce De Leon on his journey to find the Fountain of Youth. The Ancient Sailor is an odd fellow deciding to use a fish as a weapon and he does a mid-air cartwheel instead of diving like the other male characters.
Role in the Story[]
The Ancient Sailor was found by a fisherman and brought to King Ferdinand. The Ancient Sailor was in possession of a book that gave instructions on how to use the Fountain of youth and map to the Fountain. The Sailor didn't seem to be very alive at the time though. King Ferdinand would accidently split the Ancient Sailor into three after taking the book from the Sailor's strong grip.
The book would shortly be stolen by either Angelica or one of the Zombies and end up in the hands of the infamous Blackbeard. This did not concern King Ferdinand as he did not want to use the fountain but destroy it. He then sent The Spaniard to do so.
Trivia[]
The fish weapon has a strange property of skipping the fighting animation when attacking, unlike the sword. This makes the Ancient Sailor good for speed running free play levels and boss fights.
