Overview[]
Murtogg was an English soldier and friend of Mullroy. He served under the command of James Norrington, and eventually he and Mullroy would work for the East India Trading Company.
Murtogg isn't the brightest tool in the shed often making blunders and getting into dimwitted arguments with Mullroy. Despite this the two are always seen together.
Role in the story[]
Murtogg and Mullroy were guarding boats on the docks of Port Royal when Captain Jack Sparrow arrived. Murtogg along with Mullroy attempted to contain Captain Jack Sparrow under orders from James Norrington, however they failed after being distracted. The two riflemen would be seen in the same level again attempting to stop Jack and Will from commandeering the HMS Dauntless along with Norrington and Lieutenant Groves. Technically they would succeed in protecting the HMS Dauntless, but the faster HMS Interceptor would be stolen in the process. Murtogg and Mullroy would later be seen on the HMS Dauntless after Jack and Elizabeth escape Smuggler's Den. Murtogg and Mullroy would fight against Captain Barbossa's Crew at Isla De Muerta using a cannon, unlike the rest of the Soldiers who used bayonets on rifles.
Murtogg and his friend Mullroy would come to work for The East India Trading Company under the control of Cutler Beckett. The two would help James Norrington save Elizabeth Swann from The Flying Dutchman after Norrington discovered the evil the company has done.
The last time Murtogg and Mullroy were seen was in the Maelstrom level guarding Davy Jones's heart aboard The Flying Dutchman. Though in the movie they escape on the Black Pearl we never see this happen in The LEGO Game.
